We just have to get used to it

On Monday morning, a truly unusual atmosphere was hanging in the halls of our office. It wasn’t the usual pre-Christmas nervousness, nor the post-election euphoria. Today, we are all moving. After many years spent in these old, but cozy office spaces, our workplace is moving to a modern building on the other side of the city. For some, it’s finally a change for the better. New, more spacious offices, modern equipment, air conditioning, convenient parking, and nearby restaurants. All this promises more comfortable, pleasant, and efficient work. For others, like us older ones, it’s more of a sad event. After all, we’ve spent so many years here, experienced lots of fun and worries. These walls remember our first work successes, career developments, but also failures. And now we really have to leave them?
